MUSCATINE, Iowa - The City of Muscatine will join communities nationwide in celebrating Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, honoring the paramedics, EMTs, and first responders who provide lifesaving care to residents every day. This year’s observance runs May 17–23, concluding with the always-popular EMS Day on Saturday, May 23 at Blaine’s Farm & Fleet.
Recognizing the people behind the response
EMS Week highlights the essential work of the Muscatine Fire Department’s EMS personnel, who respond to thousands of medical calls each year and deliver rapid, compassionate, and highly skilled care.
“EMS Week is an annual celebration for all the front-line medical professionals,” Battalion Chief Andrew McSorley said. “We recognize their relentless efforts for helping others in their time of need. These individuals perform work with pride, honor, and integrity. They spend countless hours training, preparing, and ultimately caring for the ones closest to you.”
