Women’s water polo announces 2027 schedule

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - On Wednesday, Augustana College women's water polo announced the schedule for the 2027 season.

The season begins on February 6, 2027, with a two-day trip to the McKendree Invite. A week later, the Vikings are back on the invite scene with an appearance in the Macalester Invite on February 13 and 14.

Augie opens the home portion of their season on February 20 when they welcome McKendree to the Anne Greve Lund Natatorium at 2 p.m. The following Friday, Augustana hosts Macalester for a 7:30 p.m. match.

A day after the Macalester match, the Vikings host the CWPA West Regional Weekend. On February 27, they face Austin before a doubleheader on February 28 against Denison and Carthage. The Denison match at 9:30 a.m. will also be Senior Day for the Vikings.

After about a week off, Augie returns to action on March 5 with the two-day Claremont Convergence in California. Augustana then heads east for a visit to Grove City, Pennsylvania, on March 19 where the Vikings will face Grove City and Connecticut. The regular season wraps on March 20 with a doubleheader in Erie, Pennsylvania, against Wheaton and Penn State Behrend.

Following some recovery time after the regular season, the postseason begins April 9 with the CWPA DIII Championships, hosted by Carthage. The tournament could last through April 11 depending on Augie's results. Should they advance past the CWPA DIII Championships, the Division III National Championship would take place on April 24 and 25.

Augustana is looking to build off a strong 2026 season in which they went 19-4 overall with an 8-0 mark in conference. In the CWPA DIII Championships, Augie took third place.
