Plant a Seed, Read with the Bettendorf Public Library this summer and grow into a reader.
The library digs into its Summer Reading Program Monday, June 8, with fun challenges and rewards for all ages related to this year’s theme, “Plant a Seed, Read.”
Reading challenge prizes
Everyone who completes their challenge receives a prize. Sign-up prizes can be picked up starting June 8.
Children receive a token for a free book from the Friends of the Library bookshop when they sign up, a halfway prize*, and a book and raffle entry for a finishing prize.
Teens receive a halfway prize* and a book and raffle entry for a finishing prize.
Adults receive a wooden bookmark when they sign up and, for a finishing prize, either a gift certificate to the Friends of the Library bookshop or The Forge Putting Course at Palmer Hills Golf Course, plus a raffle entry.
*A gift certificate good for one round at The Forge Putting Course is the children’s halfway prize and an option for the teen halfway prize, providing the whole family a chance to go play.
