MUSCATINE, Iowa – Father’s Day weekend in Muscatine will fire up in a big way as Skinny’s Street Fest, presented by Braveheart Black Angus Beef, transforms the 200 block of West 2nd Street into a full-day celebration of food, music and community. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, and is free for all ages.
Street closure notice
To safely accommodate the event, West 2nd Street from Chestnut Street to Pine Street will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday, June 20, through 12 a.m. Sunday, June 21. Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution near the festival area.
A full day of food and fun
Skinny’s Street Fest will feature an all-day Smoke Marathon with ribs, Braveheart brisket, Iowa’s No. 1 pulled pork sandwich, secret menu items and returning fan favorites. Guests can also enjoy ice-cold beverages, a Cornhole Tournament and a KidZone presented by CBI Bank with face painting, hoops and activities designed to give parents a chance to relax.
A Vendor Village will bring local treats, artisan goods and Muscatine-made merchandise to the heart of downtown.
Live music all day
Because BBQ is about bringing people together, the festival will feature live music ranging from blues and country to old-school hip-hop and funk. It is a soundtrack built for summer and for celebrating the people who make Muscatine special.
