Lock 14 Kitchen opens in Moline
Lock 14 Kitchen is a shared commercial kitchen space built for local makers. The kitchen is designed to help local food entrepreneurs, small restaurants, and catering businesses where they can grow. The community kitchen is located at 3800 River Drive, Suite 3, in Moline.
Eight years ago, LOCK 14 Dam Good Salsa started with two avid boaters selling homemade salsa on the river, hoping to raise enough money to buy a lily pad. They sold their first pints to fellow boaters, and the love for their salsa grew faster than they ever imagined. They took the leap from river idea to a real business that quickly expanded into Hy-Vee and Fareway stores across the region.
Lock 14 Kitchen is ready to welcome local makers, small businesses, and creators to take their businesses to the next level. For those expanding their food business and would like to reach out to Sommers and Scrowther, send them a message on their Lock 14 Kitchen Facebook page.
