FYI: Annawan comes in having won a record eight consecutive LTC Tournament titles, but the Bravettes’ reign will be challenged by the top-seeded host Lady Princes, who currently sit atop the regular-season standings at 4-0, a game up on Stark County and West Central. Princeville is the last team to win the tournament before Annawan began its run, taking the 2010 crown; the Lady Princes also won the ‘04 LTC Tourney title. ... Since the conference tournament began in 1999, the Bravettes have won nine tourney titles, followed by Wethersfield with four, Stark County with three, Princeville with two and West Central with one. ... Annawan’s current streak is the longest any team has held the LTC Tournament title; Wethersfield won three straight tourney titles from 2005-07 and Stark County took back-to-back crowns in 1999-2000 and 2002-03. ... A potential darkhorse could be Mercer County, which seeks its first tournament championship. The Golden Eagles are playing some of their best basketball right now, entering tourney play on a six-game winning streak.
