RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Alfred Gutierrez allowed just four hits over five innings, leading the Richmond Flying Squirrels over the Bowie Baysox in a 3-1 win on Sunday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Flying Squirrels and a three-game winning streak for the Baysox.
Gutierrez (7-5) allowed one run while striking out two and walking one to get the win.
Richmond got on the board first in the third inning when Heliot Ramos hit a two-run double.
Bowie answered in the top of the next frame when Anderson Feliz scored on an error to cut the deficit to one.
The Flying Squirrels tacked on another run in the fourth when Peter Maris hit an RBI single, bringing home Jalen Miller.
Zac Lowther (12-6) went seven innings, allowing three runs and four hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out eight and walked two.
Despite the loss, Bowie is 10-4 against Richmond this season.
