Orion 3, Riverdale 2 (9 inn.): Quinn Hoftender and Ben Dunlap both homered, and the Chargers won a Three Rivers West battle in extra innings. Jared Griffin, the hard-luck loser on the mound, had three hits and a double for Riverdale.
Sherrard 10, Fulton 0 (5 inn.): Kyle Yeater tossed a 3-hit shutout for the Tigers. Caleb McWhorter and Sam Lamp each had a pair of hits for Sherrard in the Three Rivers Conference rout.
Erie-Prophetstown 9, Kewanee 0: Bryce Rosenow (2 hits, 4 RBIs) and Travis Coleman (2 hits, 3 RBIs) powered the Panthers past the Boilermakers. Jacob Ryan got the mound victory in a 4-hit shutout in Three Rivers Conference action.
Mercer County sweeps: Jeff Garrett had 3 hits and 5 RBIs in each game, and was the winning pitcher in the nightcap to lead the Golden Eagles past ROWVA, 13-3 (6 innings) and 11-1 (5 innings) in Lincoln Trail Conference play. Jake Reusch homered in the opener, and drove in a pair of runs in both games. Reusch, who had 5 hits in the twinbill, also was the winning pitcher in Game 1.
Limestone Tournament: Lauryn Stegall threw a 1-hit shutout in the 3-0 opening victory over Bloomington, but stablemate Ashley Peters topped her with a no-hitter in a 10-0, 5-inning affair with Brimfield. Peters and Taylor Pannell each provided two hits in Game 1. Peters (3 hits, 3 RBIs) and Makenna Carothers (2 hits, 2 RBIs) were the offensive catalysts in Game 2.
Orion 15, Alleman 6: Lilly Bergstrom had 3 hits and 5 RBIs to power the Chargers past the Pioneers in a slugest. Marly Lillibridge (3 hits, 2 RBIs) and Tori Werkheiser (2 RBIs) joined Ashley Awbrey and Bergstrom in homering for the hosts. Alli Ferrari, Taylor Parker and Madison Steines also went deep for Alleman.
