DSL Orioles2 started the scoring in the first inning. After leading off the inning with a single, Ricardo Castro advanced to second on a wild pitch, went to third on a ground out by Luis Sena, and then scored on a wild pitch.

The DSL Yankees took the lead for good with two runs in the second inning. Espino scored on a wild pitch en route to the one-run lead.

The DSL Yankees later tacked on two runs in the fourth when Espino hit an RBI triple and then scored on a wild pitch to secure the victory.

DSL Orioles2 saw its comeback attempt come up short after Wilkin Grullon hit an RBI single, scoring Sena in the eighth inning to cut the DSL Yankees lead to 4-2.

Felix Alonzo (1-0) got the win with four innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while DSL Orioles2 starter Orlando Fulgencio (0-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.

For the DSL Orioles2, Castro doubled and singled twice.
