FT. MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Denzel Bryson scored on an error in the first inning to help the GCL Braves secure a 6-4 victory over the GCL Red Sox in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday. The GCL Braves snapped a five-game losing streak with the victory.

The error started the scoring in a five-run inning and gave the GCL Braves a 1-0 lead. Later in the inning, Mahki Backstrom and Stephen Paolini hit RBI singles.

The GCL Braves tacked on another run in the third when Darling Florentino hit a solo home run.

Zach Seipel (2-2) got the win with five innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while GCL Red Sox starter Felix Cepeda (2-3) took the loss in the Gulf Coast League game.
