Amtrak already has a list of projects to fund if it gets the billions it expects from a big infrastructure bill. And some of its proposals can be put into effect rapidly, which is a big change from many other infrastructure proposals. Typically, even "shovel ready" projects need years to show results, but some of Amtrak's ideas are "service ready." Basically, infrastructure required for many Amtrak needs is already in place: Amtrak just adds trains to existing operational rail systems. So Amtrak can quickly add as many routes as it is able to equip and staff within a short time.

An elderly woman who had tested positive for COVID-19 in early April but was thought to be recovering, died Tuesday in the early evening at the Kahl Home.

Jeannette Green, 92, had just returned Monday afternoon from Genesis Hospital, her daughter, Pamela Goldman said.

An elderly woman at the Kahl Home in Davenport has tested positive for COVID-19. Pamela Boldman, from the Cleveland, Ohio, area, confirmed Friday that her family received word that her mother, who is in her 90s and became ill Tuesday night with a high fever, tested positive. The test was taken Wednesday, with the results received Friday.
