I am ashamed to say I live in Illinois.

A few days ago our elected representatives, under the guise of health care, to be funded by taxpayers, rushed through a controversial pro-abortion bill that would legalize abortions in Illinois for basically any reason up to birth, thereby removing all legal right to life for the baby.

Our governor is expected to sign the bill. Folks, this amounts to nothing less than infanticide! How can anyone possibly justify this?

Believe me, no one is a bigger feminist or supporter of women’s rights than I am. As a business owner, I have always fought long and hard for equality, freedom and opportunities for women. But no one has the right to take the life of another human being born or unborn!

Life is precious at any stage. No longer is there any argument on when life begins. We know now that little heart is beating less than a month after conception. Life is just plain no longer sacred in America. Yes, I agree, everyone is entitled to safe medical care. However, abortion is not medical care.

Did you know that since abortion became legalized in 1973 over 61 million unborn babies have lost their lives? Every year that figure goes up by over 2 million.

That’s more than all of the combined casualties of every major war in which the U.S. has ever been involved. A whole generation has been lost. What a staggering figure!

Doesn’t say much for America, does it?
