Willie Nathaniel Holley, 62, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial visitation is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Colona American Legion, 312 Broadway St., Colona. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan, is assisting the family.
Willie was born on Jan. 7, 1954, in Indianapolis, Ind., and spent his childhood in the Chicago area. Willie worked for Local 309 Laborers Union for 22 years. He most recently had been working for Valley Construction on road projects. Wille greatly enjoyed gardening, working out at the RIFAC, photography and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Arkeya Lee, Gary, Ind., Aliik Holley, Rock Island, and Kenyatta and Kenya Benniefield, Chicago; grandchildren, Khalid Smith, Tyreek Benniefield, Trey Holley, DraMell Lee, DraMiah Lee and Meah Holley; brothers, Randolph Holley, Clinton, Iowa, and Andrew Steward, Chicago; sisters, Lucretia (Robert) Banks, Carolyn Vandivier, Cecilia Muhammad and Sedalia Ford, Ohio; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
