Coming up are:

How to Take Better Photos: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $59.

The Art of Tailgating: Oct. 25 from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. Cost is $35.

Introduction to Hoop Dance: Wednesdays, Oct. 25 to Nov. 29, from 7 to 8 p.m. Cost is $42.

Pattern Reading for Crocheting: Oct. 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $18.

Zumba -- Find Your Way to Fun and Fitness: Thursdays, Oct. 26 to Dec. 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. Cost is $36.

SAT Exam Preparation: Saturdays, Oct. 28 to Nov. 18, from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $119.

Fork truck operator safety class available at BHC

Black Hawk College is offering Fork Truck Operator Safety and Driving Training on Oct. 24.

The course will cover the OSHA standard for safety, forklift inspection and basic driving practice. Class will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the college’s Industrial Training Lab Extension Center in Moline.

CPR class Oct. 26 for students, parents, babysitters

Learn the lifesaving CPR skills Thursday, Oct. 26 with Family & Friends CPR at Black Hawk College.

The class is for ages 16 and older who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. It is ideal for students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.

The class will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the college’s Outreach Center in East Moline. Cost is $50.

BHC offering food service manager training in Geneseo

Black Hawk College offers training for restaurant and food service workers.

The Food Service Sanitation Manager course meets Illinois and Iowa state requirements and prepares students for the Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification exam.

Classes will be Mondays, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Geneseo Public Library. Cost is $147.

Teachers earn PD hours with BHC language classes

Teachers can earn professional development hours with language classes at Black Hawk College.

Coming up are:

Basic Chinese: Mondays, Oct. 30 to Dec. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $120.

French Refresher: Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 30 to Nov. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $85.

American Sign Language -- Intermediate: Tuesdays, Oct. 31 to Dec. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $120.

Classes will be at the college’s Quad-Cities Campus in Moline.
