MOLINE — Funeral services for Fernando 'Frannie' Duran, 89, of Moline, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, Ill. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Mr. Duran died Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at his home.
Frannie was born Feb 22, 1930, in Moline, the son of Vincent and Maria (Espinosa) Perez Duran. He married Cleo Aguirre in October of 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. He was a proud John Deere worker, retiring from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, in 1987, after 37 years of service. He loved to golf and shoot pool. He was a Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Frannie was quite the socialite, tending bar at several fine local establishments over the years.
Survivors include his children, Lisa Duran (Jeff Jones) Rockford, Ill., Linda Duran, Moline, and Joseph (Kimberly) Duran, Silvis; grandchildren, Michael Belman, Racheal and Matthew Verdugo, Vincent Duran, Amanda (Paul) Kerschieter, Emily Duran, Dean and Stephanie Jones; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Harry Perez, Moline, Esther McCullough, Moline; and his special friend of 42 years, Ethel Derrick, Geneseo, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Belman; siblings, Julia (William) Hernandez, Angela (Julian) Belman, Joseph Perez, Josephine Perez, Rito Perez and three infant siblings; sister-in-law, Ethel Perez; brother-in-law, Earl McCullough.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, UnityPoint Hospice.

EAST MOLINE — Funeral services for Juanita Delgado, 84, of East Moline, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Delgado died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Juanita Terronez was born March 8, 1935, in Moline, the daughter of Conception and Guadalupe (Ramirez) Terronez. She married Joseph Delgado in 1952 in Ogle County, Illinois. He died April 22, 1993. She worked as surgical nurse for Illini Hospital, Silvis, Ill., retiring in 1984. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Laurie Wright, Moline, Denise Delgado, Moline, and Julius (Celia) Delgado, Silvis; daughter-in-law, Brenda Delgado, Washington; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Jacinta (Martin) Cerda, Rock Island, and Mike (Elena) Terronez, Rockford, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Nathan Delgado; siblings, Pauline Medina, Matthew Terronez, Leonard Terronez and Julius Terronez.
HAMPTON — Ellen M. Lohse, 74, of Hampton, passed away at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or American Cancer Society.
Ellen was born in Beloit, Wis., on Sept. 19, 1944. She was the daughter of George and Florence (Meehan) Crawford. Ellen married John R. Lohse in Rockton, Ill., on June 30, 1962. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2015.
Ellen formerly attended Zion Lutheran Church in East Moline. She left a legacy of strength, generosity and love of family. She was a positive person who always had a kind word and was constantly thinking of others. Ellen was always up for a conversation, was a “social butterfly” and enjoyed her time with her special luncheon friends. She was a member of the Willow Spring's Swim Club and the Viking Club. She was lovingly known as the Avon Lady for over forty years.
Ellen is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Blake) Davis, Port Byron, Laurie (Curt) Olson, Geneseo; grandsons, Kevin (Tia) Olson, Wentzville, Mo., Chad (Heather) Olson, Moline, Zach (Cassey Leitschuh) Davis. Pocahontas, Ill., Lance (Kaci Christensen) Davis, Port Byron; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Olson, Addison Olson, Savannah Olson and Jade Olson; and brother, Bob Crawford, Rockford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Marian Crawford; and her husband.

CORDOVA — Sharon Kay Sparks, 74, of Cordova, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family after a long battle with heart disease. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Private family graveside services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Sharon Schram was born on Oct. 28, 1944, in West Frankfort, Ill., the daughter of Charles and Maxine (Calvert) Schram. She married Victor Dorn, and together they had three children. She later married Herb Sparks on April 19, 1991. Sharon owned and operated Sharon's Family Restaurant in downtown East Moline for 25 years. She leaves behind a legacy of helping others in their time of need. Sharon loved and lived for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Herb; children: Victoria (Gary) Libowsky, Cincinatti, Ohio, and Jeffery Dorn, Silvis; stepchildren: Beth Sparks, Lori Roseland, both of Welton, Iowa, and Joseph (Lori) Sparks, Bennett, Iowa; grandchildren: Kevin, Michael, Tyler, Amy, Drew, Keegan, Cody, Kayla, Jennifer, Jami, Josh, Elisabeth and Teresa; great-grandchildren: Emmett, Rowen, Kinsley, Luke, Eli, Jordan, Imojin, Bailey, Brandon, Breckin, Brody, Maddox and Hadley; a great-great-granddaughter, Henley; and siblings, Linda (Terry) Shirrell, Mt. Vernon, Ill., Charlene Schram, East Moline, Jody (Jerry) Page, Marion, and Roger (Tracy) Calvert, Savannah, Ga.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Dorn, and brother, Kenny Schram.
