March 18th, POLYRHYTHMS Third Sunday Jazz Workshop & Matinee Series welcomes the Steve Grismore Trio with Danny Oline and Fabio Augustinis to the Redstone Room, in the RME on the corner of 2nd & Main in Davenport. A Jazz Demystifying Workshop begins at 3 pm, followed by a matinee concert from 6–8.
“Many know Steve Grismore as an outstanding musician, however many of us know him as that friend who has always makes himself available when we have needed his support” said Nate Lawrence. “Years before our Third Sunday Jazz Series, Steve helped us put together a 13 piece band for the local release of Bill Bell’s ‘Jazz Professor’ CD. Since then, on many occasions he has helped Polyrhythms navigate the travails of hosting a jazz series.”
Guitarist Steve Grismore’s trio features Danny Oline on bass and Fabio Augustinis on drums, playing a pleasant dose of jazz standards and some originals in the style of Keith Jarrett, Kenny Burrell, Grant Green, and George Benson.
