ALEDO — Kansas City Chiefs NFL running back Darrin Reaves spent Sunday night in the Mercer County Jail, according to Mercer County State's Attorney Meeghan Lee.
Aledo Police arrested Mr. Reaves June 4 after he allegedly would not allow a woman to leave her residence and then would not let her back up her vehicle in an attempt to drive away. Mr. Reaves has been charged with two counts of the Class 4 felony of unlawful restraint and one count of a class A misdemeanor criminal trespass to residence for allegedly remaining in an Aledo residence without permission.
Mr. Reaves posted 10 percent of his $10,000 bond and was allowed to leave the state, stipulating he returns for court appearances.
Two emergency orders of protection against him also were granted Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit court. A preliminary hearing is set for July 10.
Mr. Reaves was released by the Kansas City Chiefs on May 7 in an injury settlement.
