MOLINE — Memorial services for Mary Lou Neels, 58, of Moline, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Neels died Monday, July 8, 2019, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Mary Lou McLean was born July 12, 1960, in Trenton, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Darlene Sims McLean. She married Michael Neels on April 28, 1979, at the First Christian Church, East Moline. She had worked at Black Hawk College for nearly 30 years and was currently working as their police dispatcher. She was also working part time at the Moline Farm and Fleet. She loved to cook, dance, go camping, garden, go to the casinos and feed the birds. She was a very loving and caring woman whose life revolved around her granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; son, Michael Neels (fiancee, Dani Vaughn), of Moline; granddaughters, Hannah, Mickala and Marisa; sisters, Cynthia Sackfield, Rock Island, and Sandi (Ronnie) Phillips, Mission, Texas; nieces and nephews, Jared Radosevich, Jennifer Radosevich, Holly Sackfield, Eric (Chelsae) Neels and Jacob Neels.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
