Day of prayer set March 1

Morning Star plans 2 events

BETTENDORF — Morning Star Academy is planning two March events at 1426 Tanglefoot Lane, Bettendorf.

A community open house is set for 6-7:30 p.m. March 7. Students will exhibit their research projects with a short program at 6 p.m. demonstrating some of the unique aspects of Morning Star’s classical Christian course of study. 

A Kindergarten Round-Up  is planned 9:30-10:30 a.m. March 15 at the academy. Parents, and their children who will be entering kindergarten this fall, are invited to learn about Morning Star’s classical Christian approach to education, spend time in the kindergarten classroom, meet the teacher and tour the building. Activities are also planned for the incoming kindergartners.

Day of Prayer planned March 1

MILAN — The Rock Island/Milan Unit of Church Women United will hold its World Day of Prayer at 9 a.m. March 1 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1604 W. 1st St., Milan.

ECW Spring Fashion Show with brunch at 10 a.m., fashion show 11 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Fellowship Hall, 121 W. 12th St., Davenport.
