Rising country artist Lindsay Ell, a 30-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Rhythm City Casino Resort, 7077 Elmore Ave., Davenport.
The multi-instrumentalist has toured alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, The Band Perry and Keith Urban, and wowed audiences as Carrie Underwood’s guitar player live on the 50th Annual CMA Awards in November 2016, according to her biography.
A 2016 CMT Music Award and multiple Canadian Country Music Award nominee, Ell was part of the 2016 CMT Next Women of Country Tour and toured with Sugarland and Keith Urban last year.
Ell’s first full-length album “The Project” — comprised of 12 tracks and produced by Sugarland’s Kristian Bush — debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album Sales Chart in August 2017 and was lauded as Billboard’s Best Country Album of 2017. Her current single “Criminal” is currently Top 20 and recently became her first No. 1 song on the Canadian Country Radio Charts.
“I feel like I’ve finally found myself,” Ell said at lindsayell.com, noting the disc blends funk, blues and pop-country sweetness. “I’m a better guitar player, I’m a better singer, I’m a better songwriter. I’m just a different artist, and I’ve never felt about music the way I do now.””
