The 16th annual Mr. Augustana pageant for the American Cancer Society will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in Centennial Hall, 3703 7th Ave., Rock Island, on the Augustana College campus. Chi Alpha Pi puts on the show, which consists of formal wear, talent, swimwear and question portions before crowning the winner. Last year, the event raised more than $4,000 (including $1,000 from Royal Neighbors) for the American Cancer Society.
