WATER/SEWER SUPERINTENDENT The Village of Coal Valley is seeking a qualified individual to fill the full-time position of Water/Sewer Superintendent. Minimum requirements: State of Illinois Class A Water License, and a minimum 3 years’ experience. Responsibilities include: Plan, direct, manage and maintain water treatment, distribution, and sanitary sewer along with compliance and inspections in accordance with IEPA. Candidate must possess strong knowledge of water distribution, sampling, testing, troubleshooting both water and sanitary sewer. Must possess good communications skills, the ability to handle stressful situations, and the ability to exercise good judgment in ordinary and critical situations. Applicant will have the ability to work normal working hours, overtime and call-in hours when necessary, along with other duties as assigned. Applicant will report to the Village Administrator. Salary will start at $65,000 (if applicant has appropriate Class A license) along with a benefit package.
