Spicy Applesauce Salad

8 ounces red hot candies
1 cup boiling water
1 package (3 ounces) package cherry-flavored gelatin
1 cup applesauce
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Dissolve red hots in water. Keeping this mixture hot over low heat, add and dissolve the gelatin.
Remove from heat and add applesauce, celery and nuts. Pour into bowl or salad mold and chill to firm. "I
put in round 7-inch bowl."
