Chewy Peanut Butter Bars

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

In 2-quart saucepan, melt the butter or margarine and peanut butter. Remove from the heat; add all at once the sugar and flour; mix well. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Spread in a 13x9x2-inch baking pan that has been greased with oil or sprayed. Bake at 350 degrees for 28 to 32 minutes or until lightly browned and edges start to pull away from sides of pan. Cool 10 minutes on rack. Yield: 2 dozen.
