Sugared Nuts

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/2 cups walnut halves

Combine sugars and sour cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking
without stirring until temperature reaches 238 degrees or forms soft ball.
Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts. Stir to coat nuts well. Turn onto wax paper and with a fork
separate nuts. Let dry. Makes about 1-1/2 pounds.
