Polish Sausage and Kraut

1 can (27 ounces) sauerkraut, drained
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1 Polish sausage ring (about 1 pound)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup hot water
Mix sauerkraut, basil and celery seed in a 9x13-inch ungreased pan or casserole. Make deep cuts about an
inch apart in sausage. Push down into sauerkraut about halfway.
Dissolve brown sugar in water. Drizzle over sauerkraut and sausage. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1
hour. Yield: 4 servings.
