Orange Sherbet Salad

"This has been a favorite recipe in my family since I got it from a friend who served it when our church circle met at her house back in the 1960s. "Even my daughters-in-law and grandchildren have asked for and used the recipe, so I'm sure it will survive in the 21st century."

Ingredients

2 packages (3 ounces each) orange gelatin or 1 package (6 ounces)
2 cups boiling water
1 pint orange sherbet
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice, thawed
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained

Instructions

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add orange sherbet and orange juice. Add mandarin oranges. Pour into mold and chill.
