Divine Pecan Cake

"This is a heavy, moist, rich cake."

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup margarine
3-1/3 cups sugar
6 eggs
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

Cream butter, margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour with baking powder and add to batter alternately with milk and vanilla. Stir in pecans.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-3/4 to 2 hours. Cool. No need to frost.
