Jiffy Pumpkin Bread

1-1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup pumpkin
1-2/3 cups flour
1/2 cup salad oil
1/2 cup water

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat well. (Optional raisins, nuts or dates can be added if desired). Pour in loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
