Papa Dan's Favorite Meat and Bean Casserole

Great with a tossed salad on the side.
1 pound ground beef
1 can (16 ounces) pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tube buttermilk refrigerator biscuits
Brown ground beef and drain. Add the rest of the ingredients. Heat to boiling. Place in casserole dish. Top with tube of buttermilk refrigerator biscuits, cut in half. Place around edge of the dish, round side up. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheeses on top of biscuits.
Bake at 350 degrees, 20-30 minutes.
