1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 orange, grated for zest, then juiced
1 teaspoon pure vanilla flavoring
2 cups pecans
Boil water and sugar until a syrup forms. Flavor with orange rind, juice and vanilla. Mix pecans into syrup and pour on greased surface. Break into pieces while warm.
