Hot Milk Punch with Rum and Brandy

Good on those cold winter nights, this is a nice drink for your office after-hours Christmas party.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
4 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
3 egg whites, beaten
1/2 cup dark rum
1 cup brandy
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

Combine lemon rind, milk and sugar in a saucepan and heat until just scalded. Fold in egg whites, rum, brandy and almond extract. Serve in a punch bowl. Makes six 8-ounce servings.
