Frosted Cherry Drops

1 box white cake mix
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons cherry juice
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped cherries, plus more for tops
1 tub of vanilla or cherry frosting

Combine cake mix, sour cream, juice, almond extract and egg in a large bowl. Blend well. Add chopped cherries and mix. Drop by teaspsoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-12 minutes. (They will be browned around the edges when done) Cool. Frost when cooled. Slice extra cherries into fourths and top each drop with a piece. Makes around 30 cookies.
