1 pound ground beef
3 medium onions, sliced
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 can (16 ounces) tomatoes
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 teaspoons salt
1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet, cook and stir meat, onion and green pepper until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, rice, salt, chili powder and pepper; heat through. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover and bake 1 hour. Makes 4- 6 servings.
