Christmas Trees

To serve, will with your favorite veggie dip, chicken, ham, tuna sald or jam.

1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour

In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and mix until smooth. Dough can be colored with paste color. Chill dough 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Press dough into ungreased mini tree tins about 1/8-inch from the top of the pan. Bake 12-18 minutes, or until golden. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Store trees in an airtight container at room temerature for several weeks or freeze up to 2 months.
