Taco Dip

1 carton (8 ounces) sour cream
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 jar salsa or picante sauce
1-1/2 cups lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tomato, chopped
Tortilla chips

Combine first three ingredients with a mixer. Spread on a large plate or platter. Layer on the salsa all the way to the edge. Then top with lettuce, tomato and cheese. Sliced black olives may be added. Serve with chips. Serves 12.
