Rhubarb Surprise

3 cups raw rhubarb, diced
1 cup granulated sugar
1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
1 box (15-1/2 ounces) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine


Cover the bottom of an ungreased 9x13-inch pan with diced rhubarb. Sprinkle sugar over rhubarb. Sprinkle gelatin over sugar. Springle dry cake mix over sugar. Pour melted butter over cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
