Hot Pepper Peach Cheeseball

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese softened
1/3 cup peach preserves
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1-1/2 tablespoons chopped jalapeno pepper
1-1/2 cups monterey jack or cheddar cheese, shredded

Cream together all ingredients and chill 1 hour. Form into ball and roll in cheese. Keep chilled until ready to serve. Can be made up to 48 hours ahead.
