Great Grandma Kincaid's Molasses Cookies

1 cup dark molasses
1 cup sugar
1 cup lard
1 cup sour cream
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
2 eggs, slightly beaten
5 cups flour

Cream together the molasses, sugar and lard. Mix together the sour cream and baking soda, then add to creamed mixture. Blend in eggs and then spices and flour. Chill dough and roll to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut cookies using cookie cutter. Bake at 372 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
