Steve's Favorite Soup

Very good on a cold day!

Ingredients

1 quart (32 ounces) tomato juice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups of milk
I tablespoon butter
Shredded cheddar cheese, optional
Sour cream, optional
Two or three crackers

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat tomato juice and add baking soda and salt. Simmer, then add milk and butter. Heat throughly. Pour into bowls and add any shredded cheese and/or sour cream, if desired. Serve with crackers.
