Signe's Peach Custard Pie

This is my mother's recipe which has been very popular for many years at family gatherings.

3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cream or rich milk
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
3 fresh peaches, sliced
1 9-inch unbaked frozen deep-dish pie shell

Mix together eggs, cream, sugar and flour. Slice peaches into pie shell; pour custard over peaches. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until custard is set.
