Grandma Hazel's Hash Browns

1 package (16 ounces) frozen hash browns
8 ounces sour cream
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) cream of potato soup
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons of butter
Grease a 9x13-inch pan. Mix hash browns and sour cream together. Add cream of potato soup and shredded cheese to mixture and pour into pan. Dot with butter.
Place uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes until cheese has melted.
