Raspberry Jam Squares

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup raspberry jam
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar. Beat 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in flour, salt and baking powder. Spread into lightly greased 9x13-inch pan. Spread jam over mixture. Beat remaining egg white until stiff. Add brown sugar. Fold in walnuts and spread over jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut into small squares when cool.
