Holiday Sugared Walnuts

Ingredients

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups walnut halves

Instructions

Combine sugars and sour cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Continue cooking without stirring until temperature reaches 238 degrees or forms soft ball. Remove from heat; add vanilla and walnuts. Stir to coat nuts well. Turn onto waxed paper and with a fork separate nuts. Let dry. Makes about 1-1/2 pounds.
