Mom's Lentil Soup

Ingredients

1 cup dried lentils, rinsed
1/4 pound sausage or kielbasa
1 minced onion
1 stalk celery, diced
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 or 2 cubes beef or chicken bouillon
6 cups water

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until lentils are tender (about 2 hours). Season with salt & pepper to taste. Serves 6.
