Cream sauce for Lutfick (Mjolksas for Lutfisk)

I triple this batch for my family.
6 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons flour
3 cups milk or 1-1/2 cups milk and 1-1/2 cups fish stock
1 teaspoon salt
Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and cook until mixture bubbles. Add milk or milk and fish stock. Cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Reduce heat to very low and cook 10 minutes. Season with salt. Yields 3 cups sauce.
