1 cup soft butter or margarine
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup cornstarch
1 cup sifted flour

Cream butter or margarine and gradually beat in the confectioners' sugar. Add the cornstarch and sifted flour and mix well. Chill one hour. Form into 36 irregular heaps on unbuttered cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about five minutes or until light brown on bottom of cookie. Cool and frost with a confectioners' frosting adding different flavorings and colors.
