Roast Beef An Jus Sandwiches

Ingredients

2-1/2 to 3 pounds chuck or arm roast
1 package dry Italian dressing mix
1 can (15 ounces) beef broth
1 can water
1 beef bouillon cube

Instructions

Trim fat from roast. Place all ingredients in Crockpot. Set on low for 12 to 16 hours. About 1/2 hour before serving, flake meat with a fork and place back into the juice. Serve on buns with juice in dishes for dipping.

1964 — 50 years ago: Work is scheduled to begin this summer on construction of a new men's residence complex and an addition to the dining facilities at Westerlin Hall at Augustana College.
1989 — 25 years ago: Special Olympics competitors were triple winners at Rock Island High School Saturday. The participants vanquished the rain that fell during the competition, and some won their events; but most important, they triumphed over their own disabilities.
