Glorious One-Glance Goulash

Ingredients

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 40 minutes
1 pound ground beef
2-1/2 cups chopped celery
2 small onions, chopped
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 cup hot water
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) tomato soup
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1 package (7 ounces) egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 can (8 ounces) whole or sliced water chestnuts
Garlic salt, to taste (usually one dash)
Onion salt, to taste (usually one dash)

Instructions

In large nonstick skillet or Dutch oven, brown meat, celery and onions about 10 minutes. Dissolve bouillon in water and combine this with meat mixture. Add soup, tomatoes, noodles, water chestnuts and seasonings; stir and pour into a 2-1/2-quart casserole which has been sprayed with cooking oil. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove casserole from oven and stir. Cover and return to oven for another 20 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
