Grandma Marie's Taco Casserole

3 pounds ground beef
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 package (1 ounce) onion soup mix
1 package (1-1/4 ounces) taco seasoning mix
1 can (16 ounces) chili beans
2 cans water (30 ounces)
1 package (10 ounces) corn chips
1-1/2 cups shredded marbled Jack or Cheddar cheese

Brown beef; drain off fat. In frying pan, combine tomato sauce, onion soup mix, taco seasoning mix, beans
and water. Stir together well. Bring to boil and cook for 15 minutes.
Put chips into a 3-quart casserole. Pour hot mixture over chips and stir lightly. Put cheese on top. Bake,
uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
